Acquiring a work by Steven Stelz can be achieved in several different ways. Contact Stelz at his studio and he can direct you to any galleries or shows that are currently exhibiting his work. You may also visit the studio (by appointment only) to view and select a painting which may already be completed and not currently on display in a gallery. Please call a few days in advance to schedule your visit. You may also email Steven Stelz to request photos and prices of his paintings that are presently available for sale. If you have a specific subject or size in mind, you can commission a custom glass painting. This is accomplished by discussing the details of what the painting would comprise. Often, a photograph of a favorite setting or location is helpful for Stelz to get some idea of what the client would like. Stelz is a landscape painter and paints in the American “Tonalist” style. His landscape paintings are comprised of natural and atmospheric settings, void of man made structures such as houses or roads. Prior to executing a painting, a rough sketch or watercolor rendering would be created for the client’s approval. A small deposit is usually taken upon starting the rendering and final payment is requested upon completion of the glass painting.
